here is a picture of my old t61. i turned it on today after a bit of time in storage to find burning smells from the cheep knockoff replacement battery. i tried the voodoo dance of the 10 button presses and the removal of ram only to be met with more silence. goodbye t61, you let out your magic smoke too early

oh well it was a piece of junk compared to my newer alienware anyway. i'm hoping to score a ramless, hard driveless, opticledriveless r61 on ebay for $110 or so so it may live again!

Yeah that happened to my computer too, all i had to do was replace the power supply
