I got this in my email today, and couldn't resist posting. Like . . . is she serious?!

Hi, my name is Jodi Friedman and I am the casting producer for ABC's show
'Wife Swap.' I am excited to announce that we are currently seeking robot
hobbyists for our show and I came across your site. Would you or someone you
know may be interested in applying? We are always looking for families who
have interesting or unique lives and would want to share their way of life
with another family.

In case you're unfamiliar with the show, the premise of 'Wife Swap' is
simple: two moms from two different families get the opportunity to swap
lives for one week to experience what it's like to live a different
lifestyle - and to see what they can teach each other about their own.

Potential families can live anywhere in the U.S. but we ask that the
households consist of two parents with at least one child, ages 6 or older
living at home. Families featured on the show receive a $20,000 honorarium
to thank them for their time. If you refer a family that makes it on the
show, ABC will pay you a finder's fee of $1,000 per family. I have attached
a press release/flyer to this email if you choose to share this with your
members and participants.

I got the same email and took a chance at calling her up to see if it was legit... which it is!

The problem is they are looking for a FAMILY (wife, husband, and kids) that are really into robots; not just one parent... the kind that would take the entire family on a road trip in an RV across country just to attend a RobotWars opr BattleBot event.
