Title: Help with parts
Post by: pacman411 on March 05, 2013, 11:38:05 AM
Hello All

I just like to say thanks for all the help you given me with you post and reply to my post. Now it time to start building the bot. I looking for some company that have good prices on gearbox, motors wheels and tires.

The first version going to be a small bot using 6 volts for the power supply. I going to place the batteries flat on the bottom kind of like the on the Tesla car giving the bot a low center of gravity. On top of the batteries will be the brains and the gear box.

As I wise man once said A journey of a thousand mile begins with the first step You have all been very helpful so far. I be placing photos of my bot as it come together.

Pololu has a good selection of small gear motors of reasonably good quality.
These are near perfect for small robots.  Pololu also has wheels and motor driver boards/chips as well as motor controllers.
