Title: How to control a servo movement with 2 NO push buttons?
Post by: combsd on November 18, 2014, 02:15:31 PM
I am new to this forum and would like help with controlling the movement of a servo. I have designed a circuit that will manually control a servo using a potentiometer and an IC 555 timer but cannot figure out how to control a servo using a couple of NO buttons. The buttons would have to cause a change in resistance when pushed similar to a Pot. That is this new circuit would replace the Pot with a circuit and two NO buttons. One button would move the servo one direction while pushed down and the other would move the servo the other direction.  I am sure (if I knew how) a microprocessor could be programmed to do the job but it seems like an over kill for a simple process.

I would really appreciate any guidance you may have available help and a schematic would be most appreciated. Thanks for your help!
