I bought an Axon, and electronic interface to program it, but never could. I gave up and went to raspberry pi. I always liked the Axon, but never had any luck with programming it.

the only cheap gyro to find, will probably be on ebay. They also have electronic boards that provide axis feedback for stability. good luck! 8)

Methinks it is a marketing gimmick; because, truly, there are so many Intelligent droids out there, it is unbelievable. I do know, that the main intelligence for Watson's AI mind, created by IBM, is called Monte Carlo. It is a statistical logistics engine capable of incredible work - hope that helps.

Hello everybody!

     I have invented a new robotic toy, that everyone will enjoy, I hope!
 
It is a Raspberry pi 3 project. I will sell the plans for it, which includes instructional video, schematics, links to free software sites, how to install the freeware, and instrumentation of the robot.

The cost of the plans will be $20; about the same of a good python book you would buy, or the
cost of 2 favorite DVD movies. Once you have the plans, you can make as many as you want!
The estimated cost of the materials to build the robot is approx. $260. That included the cost of the raspberry pi 3, sensors, and mechanical components. To compare, some broken, not working parts for the HERO robot sell at $250 to $600 dollars, and you only get a broken robot. SAD!

I GURANTEE YOU that is nothing in the world on the market today, like the robot I am going to build!! I will release the web site link to download the plans, exclusively, here on Society of Robots!!!!!!

Robot Videos / IF function in ABB teach pendant

Hi,

I am currently working on the communication between an Allen-Bradley PLC and an ABB teach pendant. I am activating the digital input (Ri_09) of the abb from the plc using device net communication.  The Ri_09 becomes 1 in ABB so all good. But then I am try ing to say : if Ri_09 equals 1 then call that routine. My problem is that the IF function doesn't let me put the ''=1'' after ''Ri_09'' and it says that the data type should be a bool ... From there, I am lost and I need help to find a way so that the Digital inputs work with the IF fucntions.
