I am designing a small PCB board with various SMD's on it:
a 100 pin AVR, a bunch of resistors, capacitors, and LED's - all SMD
If I wanted to manufacture this board (probably 100 or 200 units), would anyone know of a company capable of doing it?
-
The company that does our pcb fab also does assembly - www.pcbonline.com
We only used them once for a fine pitch smd part, and they did a good job, though turnaround wan't particularly fast.

I have worked with PCB Fab Express (http://www.pcbfabexpress.com/) with verry good quality and fast turnaround.
But there is a company in Chicago that makes all kinds of wired looking boards, I mean round, or leaf like, whatever you need it to be and with different colors solder mask and asorted silk screen. Take a look at Pulsar Inc (http://www.pulsar-inc.com/index.html).

hgordon, I think you made a mistake in that link?

sorry - www.pcborder.com

Hi,
Check out http://www.olimex.com (http://www.olimex.com) in Bulgaria.

Let us know who you decide to use. I haven't shopped around much for this, and would like to know about alternatives.

I worked at company that used San Francisco Circuits for all their boards, easy to really high tech. You get what you pay for with them. They have really good customer service.

The best in-country house I've found is www.sunstone.com (http://www.sunstone.com/?gclid=CLif1-Xco6UCFRZ-5Qod21VHJQ), formerly PCBexpress. Best quality boards I've seen, and lowest prices I've found. (For the quality i'd want at work)
Now did you mean the PCB fab, or the whole assembly including components?
I've seen Sunstone has a deal with another company (http://www.sunstone.com/pcb-resources/assembly-services.aspx) (called screaming circuits (http://www.screamingcircuits.com/?utm_source=Sunstone&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=assemblypage)) for complete turn-key assembly with components and all, but I never tried that before. But if it matches Sunstone board quality, it'd be a good bet.

I use Screaming Circuits (http://www.screamingcircuits.com) at work. However, you can probably have it done cheaper by overseas assemblers like bittele , goldphoenix, myropcb. They have sales offices in North america as well.
One of my colleagues just had a shipment delivered from bittele (http://www.bittele.com) yesterday. Haven't had time to discuss with him about the quality of the boards, but they look good, they were well packaged, the price was reasonable, and they came pretty quickly considering they were made in china.

For a shop in the USA that will do prototyping, small batches and low volume runs (all machine placement) try www.TinkerBEE.com (http://www.TinkerBEE.com). We have a MannCorp MC385-1V1 collecting dust that needs to get used.

If you want to go to China, seeedstudio has a small-run (100 - 1000) program. I think the USB2AX Dynamixel adapter uses it, for example.

Not sure if you are considering a Chinese PCB manufacturer if you are considering. May wish to know about WellPCB (https://www.wellpcb.com/); a promotional event is being held, 5pcs, 1-2 layers, 100 * 100, only $ 5,
I think the USB2AX Dynamixel adapter uses it.

I havent tried this one yet.https://www.pcbway.com but it seems good.

At work we have started using https://www.nexlogic.com/
I have been very happy with the quality and service.
