I made a hex file that turns all the ports high and low constantly (blinking LEDs). I use it to test if my mega168s work or not. Set fuse to internal osc at 8mhz and uncheck the CKDIV8 fuse.

This is actually very similar to what I do to test my Axons. Except I have it also print UART data to the UART ports so that you can also test well . . . your UART setup. :P
