40 Pin PIC development board, opinion wanted

I am thinkin of getting this $16 PIC development board:
http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=21
It appears to have all the hard work done already (crystal, rs232, power regulation, etc.) and has lotsa room to do what I want with it (run about 16 servos in preprogrammed motions while reading at least 8 sensors in a looped function)
I will use it with the $11 PIC 18F4550
http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1335&dDocName=en010300
Anyone have any thoughts? Things it might be missing or to watch out for that I might not notice?
