How high the current? 2A? 10A? 25A?
Motor Drivers from Pololu
http://www.pololu.com/catalog/category/11

For some of the wiper-motor, the minimum required current for the motor is 1.6 amps at 70 rpm, 0.9 amps at 41 rpm and 4 amps if you elect to run it at 106 rpm, the motor start current will close to 5 amps, the motor will draw close to 14 amps in a stalled condition. So you must test your motor for the stalled current to select correct motor driver.

I think one of the reasons you're not getting a lot of answers is that your questions are very vague, and involve too many variables. To answer some of these almost involves doing your design for you. The way you ask a question can have a lot of influence on the number and type of responses you get.

Try a more systematic approach. For example instead of asking a bunch of questions all at once, each of which is too vague to answer, take one particular piece of the problem. Give a description of what exactly you want it to do, and what facts you know about it. Most importantly, describe it in clear language that will convey the problem to people who are not you and don't have your view of the situation.

Often, simply writing down such a description makes the problem more clear, and the answer easier to get to.

Hope that helps

may be very dumb reply but why do you need an equivalent and just not use the L239d?
