servo velocity

can i change servo velocity by changing the command pulse frequency? or it has only one velocity?

if its modifyed for continual rotation, the PMW signal determins velocity, ie the futher the position is from center, the faster it rotates.


If its a normal servo, its velocity is set by the servo. you can adjust this velocity by changing where you tell the servo to go to. fastest, is the position you want. slow it down by sending it to intermediate positions.

so the frequency has nothing to do with the velocity? it's only about pulse width?

yep the pulse width is what sends a non modified servos to a particular angle and sending a signal for a particular angle to a modified servo will determine its speed.

this concept is mentioned in the modification tutorial and is really handy to know when working with the SoR header files and code.
