Where can I find information on programming atmega644
« on: October 02, 2009, 08:27:23 PM »
I'm taking another shot at making a robot, and I'm wondering where I can find information on how to program an atmega644. The data sheet doesn't really say anything about it, and I've never made a robot before, so I really don't know anything about the physical programmer thing.

Edit: After looking some more, I'm pretty sure the data sheet has the info I need, but I don't really know what to look for.

Pololu is using ATmega644 in some of their products. Take a look at their sample code.
Check out the uBotino robot controller!

if you want to know how to phisicaly connect the programmer to the MCU for programming have a look at this and hook up the pins acordingly. I assume you have some knowlage of electronics to design and make the rest of your circuit. It may differ depending on the programmer you use so once you have decided and it is not the one metioned in the tutorial post it and i know some one will be able to tell you what you will have to do.

If you are not to sure of your self try the $50 robot first with the Atmega 8 and for your next robot you can use your 644, don't worry, if you have a 644 already and youcontinue to build robots i can garentee you will use it.
