well the soldering is pissing me off. does anybody know how i can keep a part in place while i solder (having trouble with headers the keep falling through). lol its a really good beginner project. i reccommend it for beginners who cant afford a pic programmer. the only problem is i cant really see the pictures to well but you can still work will the instructions.

an easy way to solder things that you are having trouble holding in place is to place solder of whatever you are connecting your component to then hold the component against this now solid solder and melt it. this way you do not have to hold the solder, iron and component at the same time  ;D

I sometimes resort to using blu tac if i put a lot of components on before soldering. Ive never had a problem with it, and its easily removed by dabbing the remaining blu tac with another blob of it

I use an alligator clip to hold headers in place while I solder.

Robots are awesome!
