.... but if you're a fan of The Machine, take a gander at this (http://www.swapmeetdave.com/Humor/Workshop/Trencher.htm). :o
-
nice, bet it took a long time to build that. :D
-
Do they have a video of it working?

I have one of those in my garage. Not very good with gas milage but sure does help when I need to get a little gardening done! :P
I saw a discovery documentary thing on these beasts. Theyre pretty insane.
-EDIT-
Youtube to the rescue!

YouTube, indeed! Thanks, HDL_CinC_Dragon. The 3:57 "The Massive Bucket Wheel Excavator" will be on my YT channel Favorites. ;D

That thing would tear you up into shreds if you fell in it... :/ :D
-
actually I think its teeth are too big to do any shredding to a human. It would just eat you whole :P

I read about this machine several months back on Wikipedia (I remember it is the only machine larger than NASA's crawler-transporters). The interesting thing is it doesn't look like it should even be able to balance itself (the trailer-thingy connected to it may act as a counter weight). Even so, it looks like it will still tip over sideways. :o
Now if they made it manless or even autonomous, it would be the ultimate strip-minner (manless mining, tell it were to dig and it will extract all the resources for you).
