roomba

I have a roomba that is a few years old. I haven't used it in about 2 or 3 years ( it was the top model when i bought it ) because the battery stopped holding a charge. do you think it would be worth replacing the battery if i could find one, or part it out ?

What model number is it?  If the Roomba is a 500-series or newer, you should probably replace the battery: iRobot now supports an "OpenInterface" protocol that lets you use the Roomba as a drive base.  Short of that, there are no small number of useful parts in a Roomba - it's a nice and well-designed robot platform.

you have to compare how many money you pay on battery and how many money is to buy a new roomba. i think that a new battery will have a smaller effect for your budget
