Servos on $50 robot microcontroller
« on: January 09, 2011, 02:06:34 PM »
Hi

I was just wondering about changing my $50 robot to something else.
So how many servos can that microcontroller handle?

I would say as many as you wired pins in for. I'm thinking if you followed the tutorial that would be 5 servos and 5 sensors if memory serves me correctly.

thanks.

I could wire in more pins but the micrcontroller probably couldn't handle the extra servos

Webbot did up a tutorial on a modified version of the $50 Robot MCU that I believe added more connections. You can look it up in the Members Tutorial Section. If I can find the link I will add it here.

Here is Webbot's Tutorial. http://www.societyofrobots.com/member_tutorials/node/190

6 servos and 5 sensors which for what I have planned is perfect.
Thanks
