The y axis is way to short and there is noticeable amount of deflection in the spindle
I'm used to using a bridgeport, but its pretty good considering it came assembled and for only $499 and $12.99 to ship
. It can go up to 2800rmp in second gear and very nice speed control. I'm going to have to put bellows on the z axis i think because when the z is maxed out about 3 inches of the gear rail is exposed. I'd would recommend this mill to anyone for starters and low budget. I have noticed that the electrical compartment and some other pieces that look like powder coated metal are plastic. Overall it is a very ridged design for the price.
