Robot, designed for myself
« on: November 11, 2008, 07:59:43 AM »
Hello! I am nearly-begginer in robotics so I decided to make a robot to myself.. I visit second grade of High Electronic school in Slovenia, so I don't need to start learning how to calculate about electricity and that kind..

I wanted to make a robot, that was used in movie American Pie: Band Camp. There was a robot, with tracks, sized as little bit higher laptop with 2 eyes: webcams...Well, if maybe anyone knows where to get plans, or has them, plz post them...

Also post links or whatever, that makes sence with it  ;)

Regards, Jakey

use a mini PC like the EEPC and control the motors through a microcontroller through a USB UART

Control the mini laptop through a screen sharing application like LogMeIn or VNC.
Check out the Roboduino, Arduino-compatible board!

yes a screen sharing program is wireless - over the internet

you control one computer from another over the internet - you would control the robots laptop from another computer connected to the internet
