Grant Imahara is Taking Over Mouser Electronics' Twitter
« on: March 04, 2015, 03:25:56 PM »
Hello, just wanted to pass this on, in case anyone is interested. Full disclosure first, I do work for Mouser Electronics.

Tomorrow, Grant Imahara is taking over Mouser Electronics' twitter handle, @MouserElec, to answer your questions about robots, speak about his experience on Mythbusters and Battlebots, and to talk about his giant Spider-Bot! Just use the hashtag #GrantPartyatMouser and Grant will do his best to answer your questions between 7-8pm CST.

Read more about it here.

 :) Hello!
I have always liked Mouser electronics; they could always get
the part that no one else had, and cheap. ;D

Thanks! Mouser prides itself on being able to ship any order, great or small, quickly!

You can see Grant take a tour of our warehouse with our CEO, and get an idea of our warehouse process in this video.

edit: Ugh, that sounded so markety. But it's true. Haha!

 8) TOTALLY AWESOME!!!   8)
That virtual tour was great, Just like Santa's workshop!
Seriously, the logistics of the operation must be the most awesome
part of the operation. I would ask a question, where permissible,
what kind of logistics software was/is used to manage everything?
Had to ask, curious. ;D ;D ;D

Very cool!  Thanks for sharing the link - we all really enjoyed watching it.  While our warehouse at ServoCity hasn't reached that magnitude yet, we hope someday! :)

 :) Hello ServoCity!
A thought, where permissible.  :-\
In an inventor had an idea to make a device, it would be great to
have vendors like mouser for electronics, Servocity for mechanical/servos,
Kobratek to make any special dedicated mechanical; He could then
construct the device himself or contract it out. Any special instrumentation
would have to be interleaved as the inventor saw fit, from another vendor.
That would secure profit for everyone.  ;D ;D ;D
What do you think?
