Misc / major database corruption - I think it's "fixed" now?
« Last post by Admin on January 24, 2020, 05:12:37 PM »
Had to move web hosts, and a lot of fubar happened during the move that corrupted the database.

I believe all errors are fixed and no data was lost. Only my hair was lost.

Post here if you find anything wrong.

Long story short, I was moving the site to a new host, and fubar happened.

I was sleep deprived and deleted the wrong things at the wrong time. Mostly recovered now.

The forum is still having issues, so I may end up wiping everything again.

If you notice your posts disappearing, just re-post it.

Not sure if you are considering a Chinese PCB manufacturer if you are considering. May wish to know about WellPCB; a promotional event is being held, 5pcs, 1-2 layers, 100 * 100, only $ 5,
I think the USB2AX Dynamixel adapter uses it.

Mechanics and Construction / Robot Arm for 3D scanner
« Last post by Julian D. Powell on November 19, 2019, 08:21:57 AM »
Hello fellow community members.

What do you think of my new project? I'm considering building a robotic arm for my Kinect (or for any affordable 3D sensor), something like this, but much simpler and cheaper of course, with 4 or 6 degrees of freedom, compatible with Raspberry Pi. How real is this even as a DIY project? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have some experience with 3D printing and very little with Raspberry Pi projects.
Thanks for any help in advance.
I am building a quadruped robot using a five-bar coaxial leg mechanism modelled after Ghost Minitaur. I need to calculate the torques generated at the joints to select an appropriate motor. Can anybody give me advice on how to make these calculations and if there is any software i can use to calculate them. I am extremely new to this field and any help will be appreciated. Any recommendations on motors would also be highly appreciated.

It might be possible to print also on more rough surfaces, given correct modifications.
