i am in college, taking course mechatronics.
for my FYP (Final Year Project) i need to build a paintball robot.
i need to build a paintball robot for tournament as my final year project.
this is the rules of paintball robot that i want to build..
from now i just done preparing the parts to build it.

i want the paintball gun to be able to move left and right and i want to build it just using aluminum profile to make it body. and i want it to be able to be controlled by game console PS2 wireless.anyone can help me choose the right component and maybe give a hint.

I need to build an gripper system that when mounted on a mobile robot, can grab a PVC pipe and pull it out of the ground
Its about 4” into the ground.

Its about 4” into the ground. how to pull it out of the ground? at first i think to used servo and attach a gripper at it but, when the gripper grip the flag the possibility of the flag to come out of the ground is hard because the servo will lift the gripper with slanting..

the specification of the flag.
1.  The Flag pole is made from standard PVC pipe with diameter 0.8”.
2.  The length of the pole is 24”.
3.  The size of flag is 12” long and 8” width.
