PCB Question

Hello folks,

I purchased the following PCB for my $50 bot:

Now, I'm entirely new to electronics so apologies if I ask the obvious - but the copper print on this board spans multiple holes in some areas. Does this mean that those holes (and anything I solder in to them) is automatically connected? If so I guess I'll have to shuffle the board components round to see if I can get a match with the tutorial that suits the board?

Yup you are correct. For something like the $50 robot one of those PCBs may actually be easier because you won't have to go crazy connecting a bunch of pins

I often use PCB's like that for prototyping, it reduces the need of wires to connect things.

You can usually scrape the copper off with a hobby knife (handheld tungsten carbide tipped tile scorers are great for scraping the copper) where you dont want it connected
