In recent years, advancements in robotics technology have paved the way for innovative solutions in law enforcement. One such breakthrough is RO.V.E.R, the police robot, which offers an array of cutting-edge features designed to enhance situational awareness and support officers in their duties. In this article, we will delve into the main features of RO.V.E.R and explore how they contribute to the effectiveness of police operations.

BLE Tracking:
RO.V.E.R utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to enable seamless tracking of officers inside buildings. This feature eliminates concerns about losing track of the robot, ensuring that it remains within close proximity to the officers it accompanies. By integrating BLE tracking, operators in a command center can access live video footage of officer movements, providing real-time situational awareness. This functionality proves invaluable in enhancing coordination and decision-making during critical operations.

Live Camera View:
One of the key features of RO.V.E.R is its ability to provide operators outside a building with a real-time camera view of the environment. This live camera feed allows operators to remotely assess the situation, gather crucial information, and formulate effective strategies. By leveraging the robot's camera capabilities, law enforcement personnel can better evaluate potential threats, plan entry points, and navigate challenging or hazardous environments safely.

RF Grid Mapping:
RO.V.E.R's RF Grid Mapping capability combines RF signal strength logging with LiDAR data within a grid system. This unique feature aids in identifying areas with poor RF coverage, such as dead zones or weak signal spots. Additionally, the robot can map the locations of radio-emitting devices, enabling officers to pinpoint potential sources of interference or suspicious activities. RF grid mapping enhances communication reliability and facilitates efficient allocation of resources during critical missions.

RO.V.E.R, the police robot, encompasses a range of powerful features that significantly easies law enforcement operations. With BLE tracking, it ensures officer to track real-time situation. The live camera allows making correct decisions by providing a real-time perspective of the environment. Lastly, RF grid mapping improves communication reliability and helps identify radio-emitting devices. As technology continues to advance. In close future RO.V.E.R will become irreplaceable device in ensuring public safety and enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement.

Hello everyone, I am sharing with you our project, maybe someone can help us with the implementation of our idea.

We are a small team of engineers from Moldova, we want to help solve a criminal problem with constant shootings in schools, shopping centers and other buildings.

Here is our project
and what we have achieved so far

on YouTube we constantly upload videos with our developments - perhaps someone will want to cooperate with us and develop their projects.

Anyone else intersted in helping. I got the manual bits out of the way. Please see attached picture.

Picture Full Size:

Next step is to program an alarm clock.

Alarm clock features:

- Set time
- Set alarm
- Set number of chimes.

Im not sure where to begin on this. Any help much appreciated. Thank you
Thanks Larry, I went ahead and sent you an email.  8)
Electronics / Question About Pairing a Remote
« Last post by incredibrent on May 22, 2023, 11:31:15 PM »
I am a total beginner and I need to pair a remote with a little circuit board thingy, but I don't even know what kind of remote or circuit board I have! (I have attached a picture)

If someone is able to help me identify these two items that would be a good place to start.

Also, any advice on pairing a remote would also be helpful.

(Note: the circuit board already works and does what I want it to do and one of the remotes works with it, I am simply trying to pair a second remote that is identical)

I am interested in helping you.  You can email me at [email protected]
Electronics / Project help request: Striking a bell manually, alarm clock.

Project help request: Striking a bell manually, alarm clock.

Hello! Glad to be here at this forum. My name is Steve. I'm looking for help designing a circuit for an alarm clock bell. The bell is a "singing bowl" struck with a leather mallet.
Variables user can set:

Initial Clock time
Clock Time Zone
Chimes: 1-10
Duration between chimes: .100ms - 5 seconds
Intensity of strike: (not sure how to rate this, ie harder or softer)

Design goal is for a physical mallet to strike the singing bowl via actuated 12v motor. (I can get fancy and design a little wooden figure to strike bowl later)

I'm thinking the clock settings can be built into wooden base via a small analog LCD screen. Or everything configured via super basic app with the above variables listed above, connected via bluetooth.
My idea isnt novel. This gentleman created a similar invention. Link here:

If interested in helping me please let me know! My skills are soldering, wood working and finishing.  Looking forward to your reply!

Simple image diagram of my project:

Thank you, Steve
