Hey people
Plz help wid my $50 robot
I m unclear about how to solder the .1uf capacitor Nd I think Ive my circuit
short there if its not there plz tell me hw to find where it is wid help of my multimeter
I tried to do it nd found when i place my mmeter pins on .1uf capacitor I get a beep that means theyr short........help me with this.......
Nd My Servo bus gives reading about 3.56 volt when I place my multimeter's pins on two adjacent pins...... and my sensor bus doesnt give ny value at all......Help!!
One more thing guys......... my battery charging adapter shows setting at 4.5volts
but when i use my multimeter I found out it gives 6.88 volts......
and its output current is: 500mA is it ok??????
My LED doesnt turn on as I switch on the batteries....... :(
Thanx for reading through my problem

If you post pictures of your board it will be easier to identify your problem(s).
1)where are you getting 6.88 volts? is it before or after the 5v regulator. If you are measuring before the 5v regulator your fine.
2)Are you powering the servo bus with the same power supply as the rest of the board or separately?
3)I would check and make sure all your grounds are common. That may fix your voltages.
4) As far as the capacitor one lead will be soldered to both pins 20 and 21 the other lead is soldered to pin 22.
check and make sure you don't have a short between pins 21 and 22 or between pins 7 and 8.
5) like many of us you could have a bad led. This I would not be worried about.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Yeah Buddy I stepped through it...........
Finally I think I ve completed my MCU As Im getting 6volt on my servo bus and 4.95volt on my sensor bus..........
My mistake was That I Soldered the programming cable's ( left moast and farthest from the Microcontroller's DIP )
to the other pins And only that has to be left out...........Ill post my picture soon......... So it can help other users whu r getting similar problems.......
See d admin's soldering pics hard....or youll do a mistake.........Admin
is really a great guy........he has such a great interest in these things...........
Thanxxxx admin
