They used this mobility type on the two Mars Rovers currently wandering around, and I think they will keep using it on future rovers.

just dont let your fear keep you from being a better robotics engineer. i can remember a half dozen times where i was afraid of learning something new (and avoided it), and after learning, i wished i learned it sooner (CNC, microcontrollers, CAD, etc.).
