Leaf-Eating Robot (Help)
« on: April 11, 2010, 07:28:07 AM »
Okay, so I've heard about how some of the stealth/smaller robots contain bacteria in them that eat leafs, the the energy the bacteria uses charges up the battery or something :o. So, what I think is that if I could get some common bacteria and put it in a container on a stealth robot, then have it charge the battery, that would eliminate the need to charge for two-ten hours and eliminate the weeds in your yard. ??? If you have any idea on how to get those bacteria hooked up to charge a battery please post a reply! ;D Thanks.

Microbial fuel cell

However they are not very efficient at the time being, so making a powered robot through this kind of fuel cell is not feasible

However, it would be cool to maybe power a simple transmitter of some kind, so that if your bot gets lost in the woods you can still find it.   ;)
