Title: RS4 awesome raspberry pi self balancing bot
Post by: Conscripted on May 22, 2014, 07:50:05 PM
Hello all,

I've had a self balancing robot on my brain for a couple of years now. I recently started collecting parts and ideas and found this online.

This robot fascinates me. Anyone know of others that are similar?

Cool use of image recognition! Is that a pixiecam?

There was a self-balancing robot entered into the SparkFun AVC last year; you can see a little bit of it in the recap video.
You can see it at 1:27 and 1:40:

No it's a pi cam. I guess he uses opencv.
More information about the bot is at http://letsmakerobots.com/node/38610. (http://letsmakerobots.com/node/38610.)
I've not seen an inverted pendulum that uses stepper motors before.
I really like this bot.
