hi, im building a robot and i got metal and aliminum, i will form it my self but if you look at this site: http://www.terminatorfiles.com/media/fanprojects/modelling_001.htm#stage05
and look at step 18 of 18, is it possible to make it like that or can i have a little more tin material that can make small movements with the fingers?
if I can put the fragile material almost next to the body and the hard aluminum / metal material furthest out on the body, almost as our skeleton
So the delicate material makes the movements and the hard material protects the vulnerable to break.
Would that work?
And whats the best glass material?
I wanna use some of the Acrylic Glass/plexiglass as a building material
(It must hold very well for bigger robots, 100cm - 200cm
4-7 ft.

Hey Xerox,
For some reason using the heavy hard material sounds a bit confusing to me. Typically, you would want to have your hard, heavy material as a support / structural material for the end effector of your robot.
I like Lexan as a glass-like material.

How thick is it and is it a very good material that wont brake the first time it hits the floor?
