1 pin molex

where can I find a one pin molex connector. I have been looking at the tutorials but the only things I can find are the
ones for 2 or more pins.

Erm, probably easier if you make your own by cutting a 3 or 2 pin molex up.
They do exist but are not very common.

Could you use a 2 pin molex but not connect one of the pins?

The idea behind molex connectors is that they lock into place, and also only connect correctly 1 way round so cutting one up defies the object of using a molex.

You could also use a single header pin and solder a wire to a header female connector.

For singles, I just use a pin with no molex housing - I just shrink wrap it.

I just did a search and couldn't find any single housings on mouser or digikey, but I've used them in the past so I know they exist.

There are also Molex connectors that do not have polarization (can be connected either way around).

You could either cut a 2 way or 3 way connector, or you could just use the crimp pin either as is (if there are no shorting issues) or covered with heat shrink tube (or whatchamacallit...)

SIngle pin connectors here (and several other places).

Just using heat shrink around a single crimp connector will make it difficult to get it nover a pin.
