Title: CC BEC "Castle Link" - is it just a USB to serial adapter?
Post by: Admin on July 02, 2010, 04:54:25 PM
I just bought the CC BEC Pro (http://www.castlecreations.com/products/ccbec.html) and then realized the default output voltage is 5.12V. I need 6V+.

Supposedly I can buy a "Castle Link (http://www.castlecreations.com/products/castle_link.html)" to hook up the regulator by USB to modify the output . . . but I really don't want to spend $25 if I can just send an appropriate command by serial . . .

anyone know?

Since there is only one data line, I guess Castle used some kind of one-wire protocol with that silabs MCU.
