Hi is there any way of cheaking if an Operating Frequency Crystal is working.
Prefribly fairly easy.
(in not sure if Crystal is broken or the recever more likly the Crystal but not sure)

No easy way . . . apply the correct voltage (I think regulated 5V?) and hook it up to an oscilloscope to measure the frequency . . . But I think it requires caps as well and I wouldnt know what values to use . . .
The one time I broke my crystal was because my robot fell 6 feet (about 8 times) . . . the sharp jostling would do it.

this is a pretty easy solution, no oscilloscope involved.
