cheep R/C control?

so it seems i've just about lost my RC gear. i paid $300 for it too >.<. anyway i need something that's cheep and has a range of about 100ft or more. it would be even better if it worked well with the arduino. anyone think thy know something like that?

For my latest robot design, I've used a bluetooth module with an Atmega 8 . The arduino board is just about the same. The setup was extremely easy and provided 9600bps over wireless link with 10m radius.
