SoR was added to the front page of boingboing.net (http://www.boingboing.net/) last night! :)

waaaaay more hits than like the 5 times SoR made it on Stumbleupon :)
I dream of being added to /. but not sure if my site host could handle it . . . or the forum with a huge influx of beginners . . .
-
If the host can't handle it, you can afford to get a new one... you'll have enough new members clicking on ads and stuff :)
congrats! never heard of boingboing though, I'll check it out now.

What I've learned (the hard way) is that hosts make false claims and keep problems hidden from you.
So I wouldn't know the truth until its too late . . .
I set up an automatic monitor of SoR downtime a few days ago to figure out why SoR keeps going down, and I've noticed that it goes down on average 4 times a day, about 5 minutes each time . . . blaaaaaahhhh.
There should be regulators for the industry . . .
Oh and google ads revenue capped off a year ago. I tripled visitors but the revenue didn't budge . . . I suspect google is getting greedier every day . . . If I got a million hits today it wouldn't make a difference :-\
(haha I rant too much . . . ;D)

holy monkies SoR is now on the front page of makezine (http://blog.makezine.com/)!

The next question is . . . how many of those new visitors do we retain?
-
I did that!
Yes I'm Bre pettis.
nah JK, It is a pretty big coincidence though, just after I checked out Boingboing, I felt like checking out Bre's newest podcast (every friday you can find me there ;) ).
[sherlock mode]They must have traced my footsteps back to here...[/sherlock mode]

Quantity vs. quality... If it attracts a bunch of uber 1337 omfg teeny boppers, i could do without.
Not what a webmaster wants to hear, tho!

Strange how they pick up old tutorials . . .
On the front page of makezine again!

That tutorial really needs a complete rewrite in all honesty . . .

Hey, SoR could even be seen on an xkcd blog entry (sort of)! Yes, you see that red version of the SoR logo on the cool guy's (still, all of them are cool) laptop:
