Help needed with wheel alignment

I'm building a 20x20cm 2.5kg sumo robot. It will have four wheels each controlled by separate motor. It will have differential drive.
How much important is the wheel alignment.
1)_Alignment of front and rear wheels separately.
2)_Alignment of fron and rear toegether.

It is not that important, just make it so it follows the enemy, than it will turn with the moves of the other robot, so it wont need to go strait all the time, and it it can't find it, it should just spin until it does.
