50$ robot code question.

Im building the 50$ robot, and im wondering if i can program the AtMega8 before adding the parts on. I am using a breadboard so could i just put the AtMega8 and my AVR ISP2 programmer on the breadboard and ad the parts afterwards.

Yeah thats fine. MCUs keep what you have programmed them with for years without power.

you could but it wouldn't do much good since u couldn't really do anything with it after you program it! Now that I think about it you might have trouble programming it if you dont have power to the Atmega8
