Title: What does an 8 year need for a programmable robot?
Post by: tbenefield13 on November 13, 2015, 11:37:04 AM
My 8 year old wants to enter a robot into the tech fair coming up but it has to run off of a computer program. We were wanting to make it out of house hold items but did not know what electrical parts we needed to buy and how we would program it. If anyone has any tips that would be awesome!

 :) Hello!  ;D
I would suggest going to Parallax.com. They have great kits, that do not cost an arm and a leg.
The programming is simple, (basic stamp) and you can add on whatever you like from the base kit.
You will learn a lot, and have fun! (making a robot out of household items can be a daunting task,
and be frustrating. The shake and bake idea is to use the boe - bot kits!) Good Luck!!  ;) :) :D ;D
