I have been working on a robot that utilizes a Sharp GP2D12 Ir sensor. The schematics that are given on Robotshop.ca :s homepage says that the left connector on the Ir sensor is the analog out whilst it is the opposite on sharps own schematics ( see *2 on attached image.)
Any help is greatly appriciated !

Hehe.... left.... depends from where you see it...
The schematics seem correct.... what confuses you?
-
Yes, both images are correct - Vo is voltage out. Nothing is wrong.
-
Yes , but what confuses me is that the "long" part of the sensor is on opposite sides in the different pictures. Does this matter ? Is the first image mirrored ?
Thanks .

The image is mirrored. The schematic drawing is the correct one.

So oyu mean that the *2 image is the right one ( the black/white image) ?
Thanks so much for the fast answers !
-
Yeah *2 is correct.

It;s just different angle...
Both are the same...So still.... what confuses you...
You just go with one of it... not both cause they are mirrored, as stated....
Anyways.... good hunting....
