Cheap 6v Battery packs!
« on: June 08, 2008, 08:35:59 PM »
Just a heads up to anyone whos looking for some cheap battery packs and chargers..  The www.thesource.ca (formerly known as radio shack to us canadians) currently has a huge clearance event going on in store. The first is a mixed pack of resistors for .96 cents. contains 30 resistors. The second and best deal by far is the rechargeable 6v battery pack for $2.96. The charger is also available for the battery and also comes with a battery and it is only $19.96

Just thought id give some of u guys and gals a heads up. I'm not sure if these parts are available online but if u live near a shop id go check it out for sure.

Woah thanks man! I saw this there, but I had already had purchased my battery pack elsewhere, as well, I needed a 12V pack, which they don't offer. But my friend (frank26080115) bought his pack from there for his robot project (the mammoth tank thread) and what a bargain! I live in Thornhill, Ontario though. Would you know if the sale is running here? Just wanted to know, cause' it might just be your local Source running the sale. But I will let me friend know about it.

checked the website for myself. the battery and charger combo for $19.96 is available online.    http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Product.aspx?language=en-CA&catalog=Online&category=RC+Toy+Batteries&product=2300320   Note. You WILL have to make your own mounting bracket on your RC car for this battery as it does not have wires coming from the battery.  Just a positive and negative post. Should not be hard to do.
