Sorry...Dumb Newbie Question
« on: August 19, 2010, 01:31:31 PM »
Very new to all this, and have no experience of electronics OR programming, but trying to learn.
I have managed to build a Photovore and get it going, but am having trouble with changing to a Sharp GP2D12 IR sensor.
I am using an AxonII, and have uploaded the Admin example Sharp_IR (I went through the same process as the tutorial for the Photovore, and successfully compiled the .hex file).
When I switch on, nothing happens. When I hold a target in front of the IR and move it slightly, the numbers change on the LED on the Axon. I presume this means the sensor is actually 'seeing' the object.
I have the Sharp IR sensor on ADC 0, the 2 driving servos on H3 and H4, and the servo to rotate the sensor on E5 (don't ask me why).
Can anyone give me any help, please?
(Step-by-step, probably :-[)
