Okay, I have a question...please be patient with me because I have no experience with this stuff

. I just got the servo's in the mail today for the $50 robot. I am eager to attempt to the modification but the tutorial says it need to be hooked up to the microcontroller. So do I need to wait until I put together the little board complete with the ATmega8 AVR and the AVR STK serial port dongle programmer before I can modify? Is that how they get their power? Or do they get powered by the 9V battery?? Sorry, I'm just a little confused
