Title: USB Host on a microcontroller.
Post by: dunk on February 11, 2010, 05:57:10 PM
hmm, Electronics section or Software section....?

so here's one of those things i had always presumed was not possible:

it appears that this product interfaces a USB Host port to a microcontroller. (i haven't read it in detail yet.)
i'd always presumed the USB host device required a full OS but it looks like these guys are able to cram everything necessary onto an Arduino.

makes my PS2 controller firmware look a little less cutting edge...

good work guys!

I was looking into this a few weeks ago, because for the life of me I couldn't get a PS2 controller to work with my arduino.

Has anyone used the USB host shield?
