What are the types of steering mechanisms that are used in robotics....please tell me where i can get ATV wheels....

Most people steer like a tank or digger by driving each side's wheel independently. I think this is partly because it's easier to build and also because it's easier to write the software than programming in a 3-point turn for car-style steering.

You can get ATV wheels from an ATV parts shop :P You mean a quad bike yea?
