Title: Need help for a microcontroller ir-following project

Hi guys, I am new to this place and was wondering if I could get some suggestions for a school project. I want to build a robotic car that can follow a moving IR source for my project. I plan on using a PIC18f4550 microcontroller and we were planning on using some kind of IR detector to pinpoint the direction of an IR emitting robot. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions as to what parts to use for this? Thanks!  ;D

There are projects like this described in some of the many SoR tutorials and articles.
Check them out for a good starting point.
Also there have been a number of discussions on these forum pages. Do some searches and you'll find lots of suggestions.
