Title: Modify HS-422 for continuous rotation
Post by: mjtedin on April 10, 2010, 09:05:43 PM
I ordered HS-311's from ServoCity and they automatically upgraded me to the HS-422's (lucky me).  I want to modify them for continuous rotation, but the pin on the pot is metal and I can't just snip it off like the tutorial says.  I found some hacks online that involve removing the pot entirely but it involves replacing it with resistors that I would have to solder in.  Is there an easier way to disable the pot without soldering resistors in?  Would simply supergluing it be sufficient?

I personally superglue it in, but as for the pin, you should be able to pull it out with pliers.

Hi,

If all else fails, a file is still a valid tool  :)
