How can i make a circuit to apply brakes to my robot...
when power supply is cut off the robot moves a bit due to inertia but i want to impliment a braking system so that i can apply instant brake and when brake released it ll start moving.....

What kind of motors are you using?
What motor driver are you using?
If you have DC motors and an H-bridge then braking can be done by turning on both low side legs (or both high side legs) of the H-bridge to short the motor terminals together.
