Hi folks, just up late pondering the infinite possibilities of this new hobby and had an idea for an ambitious project (that has already been done, but not with the axon that I know of).
There is a great tutorial on how to setup a few servo controlled cameras in stereo vision. So as an RC airplane enthusiast I dream of the idea of a stereo vision headset containing gyros, that would sense the wearers head movements and move the cameras accordingly. Data to be transmitted wirelessly so the cameras can be put in a large RC airplane providing a 3d 'pilots' view back to the pilot on the ground.
This has already been done a few times by different companies, youtube has some videos of them, but I can never find them when I need to.
So can this type of doo hicky be created using an Axon or II (what a pun! I deserve a cookie. Nom nom nom nom..)?
I came across these guys for brilliantly capable and affordable TFT screens, but have NO idea where to begin interfacing with one!

And was specifically looking at this nifty little 2.4" TFT for the headset screens:

There is a link on the product pages to the technical pdf's.
Thanks folks. :)

Oh wow! May have solved my own problem... just have to figure out the gyro system then...

The camera system and the Axon don't have to be connected or anything. The axon would just read the gyros and send the signal to the servos - no need to interface the video glasses/camera directly with the axon.

Gyros and accelerometers are super easy with the Axons. The example code is all there, and even a video demonstration of both.
I should work for an infomercial company :P
