Title: beginner question (50$ robo)
Post by: nortron on June 20, 2010, 05:47:20 PM
hey guys, ordering my parts for 50$ robo and wasnt sure.  I looked at digikey and they had a back order, went to mouser and wasnt confident about picking the right ATmega8 AVR (there were to many options) ?  I also need a charger for the 6v 1400mAh NiMH Battery right?

You'll need a charger to well, charge.

For the ATmega8 choose this one

http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?lang=en&site=US&WT.z_homepage_link=hp_go_button&KeyWords=ATMEGA8-16PU-ND+&x=21&y=15 (http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?lang=en&site=US&WT.z_homepage_link=hp_go_button&KeyWords=ATMEGA8-16PU-ND+&x=21&y=15)

Or from mouser

Go for the upgrade to the 168 if they have those in stock?
If not, try sparkfun or some other supplier.
