Title: Webbotavrclib and Axon 2 Demo Code

Hi Admin

Just noticed that Webbotavrclib-1.21 has been available at Source Forge since yesterday:

Any chance of including Webbotavrclib updates in the SoR Home Page 'NEW UPDATES'  ;D

Also, same for updates for Axon 2 Demo Code.

p.s.  The latest Axon 2 Demo Code ZIP does not contain a 'version_documentation.txt' file  ???

Keep up the good work, this is a great web site.

For info:  The News page of webbot.org.uk has an RSS feed - click on the icon and it will try to add the feed to your browser.

On that thread, just click the button at the top right that says 'Notify' to always get updates.

You skipped over this question.

Will you be including a 'version_documentation.txt' file in the next Axon 2 Demo Code ZIP. Just so us poor souls don't get confused as to which version we are looking at.

The demo code will always be compatible with the latest WebbotLib version. I won't be putting any effort into keeping older versions, as there is never any reason not to upgrade . . .

Sorry to be a pain (honest) but I do check the demo code now and then to see if there are any new examples for inspiration. The download box only gives the name of the file as:

    Axon_WebbotLib_Examples.zip

No version number or date. The only way I can tell if there is an update is to unzip the file and look for either the 'version_documentation.txt' file (not present in the last zip I downloaded) or for the date of the newest file.

Please either revert back to including the 'version_documentation.txt' file or put a date at the front of the zip file (good Information Management (IM) practice) like so:

    20100624_Axon_WebbotLib_Examples.zip  (Very quick and simple, but so helpful)

Both would be best with notes in the version documentation as to what the changes are.

I am a communications engineer and deal with these sort of IM, software configuration/ quality control issues every day.

The SoR is a great site. For us newbies it is a gentle intro to this fascinating hobby/obsession. My Robocat is coming on slowly; I am presently investigating the CH Robotics' CHR-6dm Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), I have ask Webbot if he could include it in the next version of Webbotavrclib.

ah! ok I misunderstood, my fault . . . There should have been a version file in that zip file . . . must have somehow not included it with that last upload. I'll fix it soon.

I only change the code if the latest WebbotLib breaks it. New code is occasionally added, often along with a new youtube video. No real reason to check back unless you're looking for code for a new device you're using . . .
