Title: Looking for Competition/Help!
Post by: GeekTron on November 30, 2010, 08:45:32 PM
So I am really new to the forums so I hope this is a good place to put this if not Im sure an admin will move it. But on to the question, I am wanting to build a battle bot but before I even start designing I need to find a competition so I can see the rules. I live in Alabama so I am looking for something here or in a neighboring state close to the Alabama line. I have found a few but they are all for high school or college teams, I am not in either high school or college so you can see the problem.

If anyone could help me find a competition that would be great.

Does anyone have any advice on any competitions in Alabama? If not then anyone know of a competition in a different state near Alabama? Or is Alabama just screwed on robot stuff?

First Lego league is the most prominent robot competition for middle school and below.

In the U.S, battle bots aren't popular. They aren't really robots anyways, just RC cars with weapons.

The fact that they are not robots does not affect my enjoyment in watching them. There are a few autonomous competitions around.
