Hi,
Posting (links to) what you found would make it a whole lot easier to help.

find the model number of the battery you are looking for on this page
http://www.tadiranbat.com/index.php/product-spec-sheet-directory (http://www.tadiranbat.com/index.php/product-spec-sheet-directory)
and it should have a full datasheet including rechargeable yes/no
charge/discharge life cycles
max temp min temp... etc etc

fyi i'm pretty sure that's a brand of batteries not an actual battery type. lipo is good but hard to work with and lithium is similar although less dangerous. nicad should be avoided as it is pretty much obsolite but nimh for me has proven to work wonders.

Don't write off NiCd cells. For some applications they are the best choice. NiMH have a larger capacity, but NiCD can deliver several times more current.

It is common for RC planes to use NiCad batteries for that very reason.
