Came across this on AVRFreaks, Thought you'd maybe like a chance to throw in your tuppence worth too; A chance to have a gripe at Atmel or let them know they're doing it right? (Everyone needs that once eh!)
Take note though it is quite a long and in depth survey.

I wrote them some sweet things about their AVR studio... and how they "back up" in favor of IAR...
Also some things about the "free samples".... Other than that... quite an interesting but casual survey...

Yeah, I gave them a couple of thankyou's and well done's but answered four questions straight with: "You need to address the known I2C multimaster issues" and provided them with a link to the page on robot room.
No prizes for me I reckon!

I basically believe that they will give prices to people using development tools other than AVR... like I wrote...
which btw is true...
Such marketing policies tent to see why sells are dropping and try to please some guys with gifts... :-p
Pitiful... but if can lead to better products so be it...

Yeah, I hope by posting it here they'll get more replies from hobbyists.
Every little helps.

Good find. I asked for:
- built-in USB for the mega devices (so I can make the Axon III cheaper, hehehe)
- higher processor speeds
- factory installed bootloader
- more UART and PWM pins
- Linux/Mac support
- I did a shout out to WebbotLib as a development tool
